Zlick is based on 3 premises:

• Forecasting tools are mostly based on past data and site surveys.
• In reality, many more factors influence trial completion times.
• Those factors also vary depending on condition, location, timing, etc.

Zlick is different because it knows:

• What those factors are.
• How to find and organize them.
• How to use the data to forecast how enrollment will evolve over time.

Zlick has two core use-cases:

• Before a trial – design and feasibility.
• During a trial – accelerate and correct delays in enrollment.

• Insights about a trial (competitors, patient pool, etc.).
• Trial-specific recommendations to prevent or correct delays.
• Forecasts (times and costs) at any point of the trial.
• Realistic simulations of interventions to save time.
• Comparison of interventions head-to-head and vs. baseline.

By default, Zlick uses public data from trusted sources, including but not limited to government and corporate websites, medical journals, financial reports, patient associations, peer-reviewed papers, etc. All sources used are clearly displayed under each section for transparency and trust. While the sources may be publicly available, Zlick follows proprietary rules to find and process data in order to deliver robust and reliable results.

Yes. Companies can easily connect their proprietary sources to give Zlick even more data points for its forecasting modeling. Proprietary data is only accessible to the company that uploaded it, and it’s never used to train our models for other customers.

More or less. Zlick is very data-driven, and most countries do not have the depth and breadth of data that is available for the US. For that reason, Zlick is optimized for trials that have at least some sites in the US. Non-US trials can be modeled too, but results may be less robust — in which case Zlick will show a warning message.

Yes. If a protocol is not final or the trial hasn’t started, Zlick can still provide key insights about competitor activity, recommended site locations, impact of eligibility criteria on patient pool and enrollment, etc. Simply upload the PDF version of the draft and Zlick takes care of all the rest.

Zlick works for all therapeutic areas, phases, etc. As a data-driven platform, the more relevant data there is, the better. Only trials for very rare diseases, where there is little information or activity, may have less robust predictions.

Yes. This is an add-on feature that can be easily implemented upon request. Forecasting and simulator internal settings can be adjusted so that they are more aligned with the company’s past experience and/or preferences.

No. For the time being, Zlick is only available in English.
